Overview
The Tampa Bay Lightning Community & Hockey Development Team operates under the Lightning Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.
The Community & Hockey Development team utilizes all donations for the sole purposes of growing the game of hockey across the Tampa Bay Area.
Donations towards the Lightning Foundation goes towards:
- Funding scholarship programs
- Funding disabled hockey programming, such as the Lightning Sled Hockey program
- Funding Girls Only specific hockey programming
- Providing FREE equipment to children to try hockey for free
- Additional ball hockey programming opportunities
