About the LHSHL

The Lightning High School Hockey League (LHSHL) is comprised of 800+ students who make up 19 Varsity and 18 Junior Varsity teams competing throughout 86 schools in Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties.

Established as a complementary platform to both Travel and Recreational hockey programs, the LHSHL is designed to expand playing opportunities and support athlete development at every level. The league ensures that all age-eligible players have access to a structured high school hockey experience.
