Overview
The Lightning Girls Travel Hockey program focuses on athlete development and growth on and off the ice while striving to help our athlete's get to their next level. The Lightning offer an 8/10U Development Team, 12U SGHL, 14U SGHL, 14U Tier II, 16U Tier II teams.

2025-26 Girls Travel Teams and information
8/10U Team
- Practices are held on Monday evenings from 6:20pm - 7:20pm ON ICE and 7:30pm - 8:30pm OFF ICE at Power Pole Arena
- Will play 10 games in state vs. other Florida teams (full ice) and 3 jamborees in the Southern Girls Hockey League
12/14U SGHL Team
- Practices at Clearwater Ice Arena on Friday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:00pm ON ICE and 7:15pm - 8:15pm OFF ICE
- Competes in the SGHL and attends 5 game weekends in the Southeast. Last season's game locations included Jacksonville, Coral Springs, Orlando, Charleston, and Atlanta.
14U Tier 2 Team
- 2 practices per week
- Mondays at Clearwater Ice Arena: 5:45pm-7:00pm ON ICE / 7:15pm-8:15 OFF ICE
- Thursdays at Power Pole Arena: 7:30pm-8:30pm ON ICE
- Competes in the National Girls Hockey League (NGHL) and attends 3-4 travel weekends across the country (for more information please visit NGHL Website
- Will play 10 games against in state competition as well (Jacksonville Lunas, South Florida Lucky Pucks, Orlando Solar Bears, Tampa Bay Crunch).
16U Tier 2 Team
- 2 practices per week
- Mondays at Clearwater Ice Arena: 6:15pm-7:30pm ON ICE / 7:45pm-8:45 OFF ICE
- Thursdays at Power Pole Arena: 8:40pm-9:40pm ON ICE
- Competes in the National Girls Hockey League (NGHL) and attends 3-4 travel weekends across the country (for more information please visit NGHL Website

2025-26 Girls Travel Hockey Tryouts
The Tampa Bay Lightning are excited to announce Girls Travel Hockey Tryouts for the 2025-2026 season. Please see the information below that includes age groups, level, and league the teams will play in so you can choose which tryout is best for your daughter. You may only attend a tryout if your daughter's birth year lines up with that age group.
All tryouts will take place at Clearwater Ice Arena, 13940 Icot Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33760.
