Ice Hockey Programs
Girls Hockey
We have all new Girls Only programming for girls of all ages and skill levels including: Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, Rookie League, Rec League, and a Development Program for 11-16 year olds.
Learn To Skate programs
Join Tampa Bay Lightning Alumni and Staff for 8-weeks of Learn to Skate! Take advantage of a great opportunity to improve your skating skills prior to starting hockey lessons.
Learn to Play
The NHL and the NHLPA have partnered with the Tampa Bay Lightning to provide a low-cost opportunity for kids to try hockey for the first time. During the 2023-24 hockey season, more than 800 boys and girls (age 5-10) will discover the sport of hockey for the first time through the Lightning Learn to Play Hockey Program. This program will be offered in multiple rinks throughout Florida.
Rookie League
Lightning Made Rookie League (LMRL) is a next steps program for young players who are preparing to participate in a local hockey league. LMRL is an 8-week program for ages 5-12 years old and is coached by Lightning Alumni and Staff.
Clinics/Camps
The Tampa Bay Lightning offer ice hockey camps at different rink locations in the Tampa area throughout the year.
Adaptive Hockey
The Tampa Bay Lightning offer multiple programs for those with disabilities the opportunity to join in and play hockey.
Heroes League
The Tampa Bay Lightning Heroes League is a 10-week regular season of round-robin gameplay and 2-weeks of playoffs between teams composed of Medical Staff, Teachers, Veterans, Warriors, Firefighters and Police Officers. It is a 4v4 league run out at Power Pole Arena, and also consists of other fun surprises along the way.
High School League
The Lightning High School Hockey League consists of 20 Varsity Teams, 16 JV Teams, and a Developmental League with 750+ players in the Tampa Bay Area.
